Reset a Slide Layout without Losing Text Formatting

Does it make you crazy when you’re scrolling through a deck and the titles or body copy placeholders bounce around with inconsistent placement? I know I am not alone in this nit!

If your deck is built on a decent template, there is a way to fix this by resetting the slide layout. But did you know there’s a difference between a “hard reset” and a “soft reset”? With a hard reset, your placeholders will snap back into place, but you’ll also lose all the work you have done to customize your body text formatting (e.g., text size, bolding, italics). A “soft reset” snaps your placeholders into place, but maintains your text formatting.
